What are spagyrics?

Why don't you offer soy wax?

A spagyric is an alchemically prepared plant medicine in the form of a tincture. While spagyrics are often a tincture, they have a few special differences. During the alchemical process, the plant is seperated into three parts: the essential oil (soul/sulfur of the plant), alcohol (spirit/mercury of the plant), and physical components (body/salt of the plant). Each part is purified and recombined. In this way, the medicine can affect the body, spirit, and soul of the user.

Why do you offer palm wax?

Why infuse the candles? Can't you just roll them in herbs or sprinkle them on top?

We could! And people do! Unfortunately, just about anything in wax can act like a wick, including herbs. Burning candles with loose herbs is a major fire hazard, and we wanted to find an alternative to that. Sure, the process takes longer, but we think safer candles made with intention are worth the time.

What is the difference between spagyric essences and spagyric tinctures?

A spagyric essence undergoes the process described above. A spagyric tincture involves infusing the plant in alcohol, and purifying the plant material. In this way you get each of the three components but in a slightly less refined way.

We wanted to find a clean burning wax that does as little damage to the planet as possible while still being beautiful. We use only sustainably sourced palm wax. They burn with little to no soot, and are not a byproduct of fossil fuels like paraffin. The crystalization of the wax is a natural behavior of palm wax, and gives our brains an immersive experience that can lend even more power to a working.

Not only is soy more processed than palm wax, the monoculture of soy leads to heavy pesticide use.
